I backed up my phone on iTunes but I don't see it in decipher textmessage.. any advice?

@Copaceticman Definitely! If you don't see the phone in Decipher TextMessage, there's two mostly likely problems:

Did you back up your phone by right-clicking on the phone in iTunes and selecting "Back Up" (rather than just pressing sync)?

Is the backup encrypted? You can check that by left clicking on the phone in iTunes and looking at the bottom of the Info tab.

I need to restore a deleted message from my iphone 4, or at least be able to access it in some way. It was deleted since my last sync. I keep reading conflicting messages on whether to backup or not. Some say that if you backup then the deleted messages are not available to be restored. Before I do anything else, what is the answer to this?

hello.. i have a question.. after i download the app and have my messages sync to it.. can i save them in a external hard drive? that way it doesnt use part of my computer memory.. after i updated my iphone it asks me to delete some messages in order to get new messages.. i hope u can help thank you..
