B & C Companies of 3 Rifles (Durham Light Infantry) march up Church Road and onto the High Street to receive the Freedom of Stockton-on-Tees, 9 Sep 10. The Rifles were formed from the almagamation of several regiments. 3 Rifles were formerly the Durham Light Infantry, itself formed from the Light Infantry which, in turn, was formed from the 68th Regiment of Foot originally raised in 1758.

  • my son in law, lee, is from stockton. we were down there from scotland last weekend. brilliant place, c'mon the rifles. i am ex army and love this.

  • I don't think I've seen many cooler-looking drill movements than when they bring bugles up. Maybe a salute with a sword in slow time..... But they're close!
