This was one of the last videos I recorded on that trip. It was a long day and I had just gotten back from a strenuous hike along the rocky shore in a fruitless attempt to find tide pool creatures. I was sitting down and relaxing on a water-sculpted rock and thought I'd share the view with other ocean lovers. I guess most people prefer the sandy beaches and the gentle waves just right for swimming in but me... I like the breaches where the sea crashes into the big rocks. The earth shakes and the sound is like a thousand cannons going off at the same time. It's amazing how something so powerful can be so relaxing.

  • Wow Javadude...that's a very poetic description! Falls nothing short of how beautiful those white foamy waves hit that rock.

  • Thanks for your kind words Zemfira25

You inspire me to take yet another drive

to where the angry tide and surf meet the shore

and the hungry ravens, seagulls and pelicans soar

Above and beyond the rocks and the sand.

with my staff and my camera close by my hand.

To capture a moment, as I look out to sea,

perchance to share with friends such as thee.
