  • Its not a correct statement to say that only officers hold positions and or staff. From Corporal-Sergeant you can be a team leader, SFC- Squad Leader, Master Sergeant- Platoon Sergeant, 1SGT- obviously the position of company first sergeant and then Cadet CSM the senior NCO for the Battalion

  • @AlexTubed Totally depending. Every battalion or platoon is different. Each school operates differently, so your statement is also correct for some institutions.

  • Awesome! Just went from staff sergeant an took over first sergeant

  • @gladysc1977 what rank are you, if you are S3

  • @bowler20001 Every school but your shitty school goes by CPT rank throughout S1-5, Remember that every school does it differently, My school has kept Honor Unit with Distinction for 10-11 years and Not ONE inspector has questioned our SAI(Ret.) Col. Don Bills about BN S3 being a Major. Let me keep you in check that Staff can't outrank eachother, And that JROTC is Not the Real Army.

  • @IDeathMetal58 nevermind can't post the link sorry, but go to the Slhs Jrotc(Southern Lee Jrotc FB page and look through our pics in 2011 Awards Ceremony

  • @IDeathMetal58 here is a pic on Facebook of our Battalion Staff the BN S1 was C/CPT D'Andre Ward, the BN S2 was C/CPT Franciso Morales, the BN S3 was C/MAJ Brandon Philips, the BN S4 is not in this pic, but was C/CPT James Knight, the BN S5 was C/CPT Kaitlyn Kenner, XO C/MAJ Joshua Whit, current S1 C/CPT Jessica Heger, S2 Me C/CPT Jeffrey davis, S3 C/MAJ Nathaniel Kelly, S4 C/CPT Hilda Gomez, S5 C/CPT Rachel Palumbo, XO C/MAJ Sergio Avila, BN CDR C/LTC Emily Stack

  • @IDeathMetal58 just also want to ask what is your school, I will tell you i respect all JROTC units, I won't make a big deal about it, just wondering I don't want to cause any trouble. C/CPT Jeffrey Davis Southern Lee High School "Cavalier" Battalion, BN S2, Our SAI is LTC(Ret.) Ernest McIntyre, our AAI's are 1SG(Ret.) David Jenkins, and SGM(Ret.) Juan McCray

  • @IDeathMetal58 BN S3 is a Major they are third in command, and take over in absence of the Battalion Commander and the Battalion XO, they are second in command when the battalion commander dies, they become the BN CDR. In the real Army a S3 is a major, my SAI at my school is a LTC, and he was a S3. so don't even start to tell me that there is only one major in a Battalion, there is two, prehabs it's your school who is the dumasses, we have never done it different through 4 or 5 SAI's

  • @bowler20001 You and your JROTC are dumbasses, BN S-3 is not MAJ Like all other staff, They are CPTs, There can only be 1 MAJ and that is the XO. I'm in JROTC as a LET 2 aswell, But I know alot more shit than most of the LET 4's. Sorry but you got schooled harder.

  • @IDeathMetal58 Not all Staff are Captains, the BN S3 called the Battalion Training and Operations officer is a MAJ, I know, because I am the BN S2 at my school, the Battalion Commander is LTC, Battalion XO is a MAJ S3 is the only staff that is a major, the S1, S2, S4, S5 are all CPTs Company Commanders are CPTs Compnay XO's are 1LTs PLT LDRs are 2LTs. I know my basic staff principles I've been in JROTC for 3 years now, so don't questions me, sorry but you just got schooled lol

  • Im S - 3
