@TheAutobot I think what was strong in Tennants era is weaker in Smiths and vice versa, at least to an extent. The plots now are a lot tighter and faster paced, and with lots of very decent dialogue, but they dont spend quite as much time on building up tension and lore, and signifficant plot threads are often dropped beffore writers can really play with them. Obviously there are some episodes on both sides that are exceptions. I'm gonna hold out on picking a favourite doctor until I've seen 13.

This was the first episode I ever saw of this show when it first came out, and this scene literately settled it for me, I had to watch this show. It is now in my top 5 greatest ever.
