CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS COMMENT : No one art is better than the other and if u disagree then fight each other with live blades c who lives. In a knife fight u both will get cut. . it is then a matter of who is mortally wounded and who is superficially wounded. Truth.

Kallisilat: I agree with you 100%. If you play with knives you will get cut. period. most, meaning better that 98% of people who get slashed or stabbed are cut by amateurs. getting cut by a practiced knife fighter will result in a serious injury, even if "only" a slash.

Guys. . . The point of using flow drills are to practice any angle that is wildly delivered in a knife fight.. . . Same principle with Karate.. . . You learn katas to learn every move that the art has to offer. You wouldn't use a kata to fight. U just don't drill one singular movement unless you are JUST beginning. Yes one knife wound can end a fight and that is fact, depends on where it's placed. CONTINUED. . . . . .

an injured trachea isn't very dangerous...often you can still breathe...that girl was extraordinary tough, but no-one can fight with a slashed carotid artery....it IS possible to end a fight with one cut....

Well clearly I wasnt talking of deaths was I.. Im saying a typical knife fight is 1 stab and the attacker or the victim runs away. I know this because I talk to a surgeon that patches them up in the emergency room in the weekends. He also told me how women and men do it differently and how he can tell from the size and angle of the wound, how deep it goes.

Actually one hit is NOT enough to end a fight in MOST cases. Beyond that, most knife related deaths are cuased by multiple stab wounds and almost never by a slash. At least thats was what a prominent Chicago coroner stated...and that coroner had over 30 years experience..

Thank you for the info(I believe now.) Tell her that everyone in my Commando Krav Maga class thiks that she is a serious badass for going through that and still alive to talk about it(though she won't want to),And all those in houston have total respect for her and consider her an original gangster(very high prestige in houston given only to hardcore people who are tough as nails).

Google : Colcord, Oklahoma Aug. 2009 Rape, Assault Alleged Assailant "BUDDER". Girl is Katie Jenks. 4'11 to 5' 2". Colcord High School. I went to grade school with her mom. Check NW Arkansas Times, Siloam Herald - Leader, Grove Sun Times (?). The story was reported on by these papers. Budder is in Tulsa County Detention. Katie was life-flighted to Tulsa.
