  • Note to the directors of cooking videos...Don't show the live killing of the animals that will be cooked..It's just better not to, for several reasons.

  • @pagalley1 you mean lobster dishes should be prohibited as well?

  • The way a quarterpounder ended up in your mouth is way more cruel.

  • Funny. All I read is comments like 'disgusting' etc... Please pay attention to the way YOUR piece of meat was treated b4 it landed on your Mcburger!!

I notice dedication to honest food and I'm astonished by the ultimate fast way these people are able to morph an animal into a dish. It's a very big honour in China to get a Live Fish offered by somebody. It's not a daily meal.

Respect for the cooks who have the knowledge of preparing a dish before the dead critter even knows it's dead already.

  • @pagalley1 But if you freeze the lobster... it won't be AS fresh, which is why the majority of seafood restaurants that make lobster dishes cook the lobsters LIVE.

  • @GlennPaulWills It does!

  • @Omsnomsnomsnom I tend to agree with you philosophically, but realistically, I don't want to see the animal being slaughtered and then eat a part or whole of that same animal...The animal can die with dignity, using methods that are pain free, but I don't need to see that animal being slaughtered.

  • Nom nom nom! That looks delicious! I wonder if living/cooked fish tissue taste different than dead/cooked.

  • You see it as a sign of respect to the organism when you can see it killed before being cooked?...Ok...For me, I don't want to see the animal being killed...I like the fact that it's killed in the kitchen right before being cooked, because that means it's really fresh, and cooking fresh food is best, but I just would rather not see it, that's all, because I usually feel sorry for the animal being killed, because it's a living organism...It's why vegans don't eat meat, bc they think it's cruel.

  • @pagalley1 I mean see it. Not eat it

  • @pagalley1 I'm also a huge fan of Iron Chef. I think the difference for us is that the unfamiliarity of seeing animals being cooked alive, make you feel offended to see it happened. I'm of the mind that I think everyone should eat it as not only a way of showing respect to the organism that you received nourishment from. Also it helps undo the conditioning that we've received from childhood of what is right and wrong/good or bad, which I suspect is the root of many peoples feelings

  • @chefkoo Most of us who eat animal protein don't want or need to see that animal being killed...However, it's the exception and not the rule and those who have a problem with it don't have to watch...I watch Iron Chef America and Iron Chef Japan and I'm always fascinated when I see the competeing chefs killing live fish, or lobster, and I don't have a problem with that, per se...However, that show draws the line and doesn't show, for example, live chickens or pigs or cows being killed.

  • @pagalley1 I don't understand what that has to do with not showing it on the video?

  • @chefkoo Because when you freeze lobster, it goes into a hypnotic state, and it doesn't feel the boiling water while it's frozen...i think it's the most humane way to prepare lobsters for cooking.

  • I do not mind watching animals die for food preparation, it does not bother me. The food they are cooking looks very delicious.

  • that was AWESOME I'm so hungry now.

  • @pagalley1 Why not?

  • They know what's good food in China, fuck all the mc shit eating people

  • @pagalley1 I love the human way of killing, it's nice, I'll kill you in your sleep you won't feel any pain :)

  • go fuck yourself. just because you're not used to it, stop bitching like a hippy

  • @pagalley1 Im pretty sure he ment the duck that had his heart ripped out in front of that little girl....

man thats messed up , im a cook myself by the way.

  • Yummy, yummy, looks delicious, I'm glad all those traditions survived the fucking cultural revolution. It may look a bit painfull to some faggots, but this isn't torture, I assure those chefs have the highest respect for those animals.

  • @capital4121 if you are a strict vegetarian,you many say so !!!!

  • @DaRealGnork No, lobster dishes should not be prohibited, because there is a human way of killing of a lobster, which is by freezing the live lobster and then putting it in boiling water afterwards...The lobster then doesn't feel any of the pain when being boiled.

  • You guys don't understand Eastern culture is completely different to Western culture.

  • Hopefully this portion of china becomes civilized soon. Poor creatures

  • Crazy mother fucking bitches.
