Just remember, your covering them. I love how people always comment on how easy a riff is to play. It maybe easy...but you wouldn't be able to comment on it's difficulty if it were never invented in the first place...or play it at home on your guitar in your bedroom :)

You could say that most iconic riffs are fairly easy to play..but who has the imagination and creativity to come up with such an 'overhyped riff'' as you put it? JOHN fucking FRUSCIANTE, that's who :)
