The first of hopefully many video supplemental pieces for the VT250F project. This video will make more sense if you have been following the blog.

This is a rather large milestone for the project, after struggling to get the carburetor back on (and with everything connected properly) as well as re link the cables and hoses we finally got the bike to turn over and run off fuel through the carburetor.

If your interested in following the the VT250F project blog just go to http://vt250fproject.blogspot.com

But for now enjoy this little milestone.

  • I had one of these and talking about carburetors, installing them on this model use to always frustrate me. Never knew anything so difficult. Difficult motorcycle to work on.

  • I had an '83 model, thrashed it around until I blew the big end bearings. after a TOTAL engine rebuild and waterflowed ported and polished heads, it was awesome, no 250 ever beat me, all my mates had 250's in college, that was in '97 so they all had new bikes.I had it clocked at 220kph!!. only 2-stroke 250's come close to it. but if you 'race' it, it WILL die quickly.

Probs though with cooling, reliable oil pressure, and bottom end strength.

  • i have the 83 model its an animal , though myns in a hell ov a better condition!!!
