Every minute, every hour, every day one woman dies from complications related to pregnancy or child birth resulting from preventable infections. This is more than half a million women, annually. One million children are left motherless. For the fourth consecutive year, the Zonta Clubs of Brisbane Breakfast and Brisbane South have joined forces to assemble birthing kits which reduce the chances of infection. The target this year was 6,000 kits.
