This is just me rocking out on my Schecter 7 string Blackjack ATX and Loomis through my Line 6 HD147. I was going through a couple of rough song ideas as well as improvisationally playing. There is a little bit of sloppiness here and there. Tuning is (low to high) AEADGBE.

  • OMG your tone is ungodly. what are your settings on the head and the maximizer? im about to buy that head and i already a maximizer. and is that the line 6 cab with the vintage 30's???

  • @MetalXGod666 I have the Line 6 modeling cab with custom celestion speakers. They dumped in and just started offering the spider valve cab for everything. I am using the cab modeling setting for the brit v30's though, so it would probably sound the same.

As far as the settings, I forget. I think the first knob is slightly below half, and the second knob is slightly after. I also have dual 15 band EQ in my rack and a BBE OD pedal in front of the amp.

  • awesome vids... been thinking about buying the hd147... do you think its worth the money...? keep rocking dude

  • @Lostinspace138 Thanks.

Yeah, I definitely think its worth it. Right now if you wanted the best modeler you probably would be better off with the Axe FX and power amp of your choice. You will probably spend more than an HD147 set up though. The 147 is still a great amp and I love it as much or more today as I did 4 years ago when I got it.

  • @DarkKnight369 The 147 is one of the only good things line 6 has put out imho ;D....Great solid state tones...I still want an axe fx though

  • @LinkinPk1fan The Vetta is essentially the HD147 + a ton more. Two things I wish I had from the Vetta are 2 amps at once and the OD stomp modeling so I wouldn't have to use a physical one. The big difference with the 147 is it has an defauly EQ voicing geared towards metal. YOu have to turn this on with the Vetta as its not the default.

The Spider Valve mk II and the Pod Pros are awesome. The Axe-Fx is for sure the best...but its like $1400 and its just a pre-amp.

  • @LinkinPk1fan I would love an Axe-Fx

  • @DarkKnight369 hey dude, my new account here...yeah man, it's just everything I'd ever need....without the problem of a 45-60 pound head and 100+ pound cabinet

  • @DarkKnight369 close but the chord your trying to produce (the chord that bands actually use) is a tri tone 1st fret on the low A open E and fist fret on the normal A sounds way more brutal. try it out.

  • @eliasisnemesis You mean the breakdowns? yea he pretty much explained it haha. If your into that, check out "This is Exile" by WhiteChapel, I know they use them alot in that song

  • I got an ibanez universe, it's a fantastic looking piece of machinery! It sounds great too, I use it for shredding and tapping and it's my main instrument on my new album. If you get a sec please check out a tune called "New Rise Of The Footsoldier" for my 5 finger tapped riff and "Invincible" for some serious shredding sweep picking and Chris Broderick style tapping. Thanks for the video, keep coming, Chris!

  • @DarkKnight369 awesome.... i found one for 350 .. been thinking about buying one....thanks for advice man...
