You should post the lyrics in the description when you feel like it.

@billsnation83 Beautiful. Sleep tight dear butterf1sh and theflash. Life is far too short to squabble over the last chip. Celebrate what brought you here; not what you stand to prove.
-
@butterf1sh I find it amusing that you would not only criticize me for having an opinion, but stoop to childish name-calling & personal insults -- none of which were in my post, which was mostly complimentary. You then try to lecture ME on being bitter? That's a hoot! So, I guess no one is allowed to have an opinion on anything unless it agrees with yours, right? Open MY mind? You need to take your own advice. Did you notice that I didn't call anyone else a retard for not agreeing with me?
-
@theflash1952shodan I logged in just to tell you that you are a f king retard trying to mask your extreme stupidity with pretentious verbiage. Who are you to decide what is and isnt music? Take your vacuous opinions and spout them to your college friends and hope they are all too bored to expose your complete nonsense so that you might continue to live in this delusional fantasy where you are refined, cultured, worldly and intelligent. Open your mind before else u will become twisted and bitter.
-
@theflash1952shodan that's fantastic. Now you're saying that rap artists are black people whose ancestors, who somehow reflect on them today, beat logs for music. Now you're just racist. It's easy talk to say he "shouldn't have become a drug addict" when so many in his place would do the same. Check out how he grew up and what he has endured (it's also in the lyrics). I love this song and I didn't comment on it to argue about rap and ignorance. I'll let it be and I've said what I want to.
-
@Beeeron21 I agree that Eminem is a competent rapper, but to equate that with being a musician is an insult to true musicians. To somehow give someone props for coping with their drug addiction is discounting the fact that they were so insanely STUPID to become a drug addict in the first place. Sorry, but I have little tolerance for weak-willed people. As for banging on a pipe, the ancestors of most rappers were beating on hollow logs for music as recently as 250 years ago.

@theflash1952shodan Once again I find that ignorant and disrespectful. If you don't like rap, that's absolutely fine. But drawing parallels between rap and banging on a pipe is very rude to talented rap artists. They don't show some incredible voice or make a complex instrumental progression but rap is like singing. Eminem doesn't pull raps out of his ass, he works those hours to make his songs and he practices a lot to cope with his drug addiction. Competent rappers are musicians.
I was in a Barnes and Nobles last night and I heard this song over the speakers. I listened for a little and loved it. I walked to the cd department an asked who it was. The girl told me Josh Ritter. I have never heard of him. She showed me the album and I immediately bought it. I have not bought a cd in years but I had to have this. I listened to it in my car and I literally cried my eyes out. This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. This guy is amazing.

@Misstinysh We love this song because it represents what nothing else in the world seems to today...Beauty, peace, splendor, perfection...It is a relief from what is real. "Another New World" is a pain killer to quell the aches and pain surging inside human beings. It lasts for 7 minutes and 40 seconds. Then, the victim must return to the biting world we live in. Thanks for the break Josh Ritter.
