Steve Mannion has been lobbying the state to bring back the New Jersey Naval Militia, an all volunteer group that was dry docked in 2002. He says the Corzine administration is expected to make a decision this month. (Video by Rcik Hepp)
New Jersey's coastline is an accident waiting to happen. The NJNM was dry docked because the McGreevey Administration had appointed Jim's boyfriend to run Homeland Security. So much for taking public safety seriously. But for Governor Corzine to continue McGreevey's intellectually bankrupt policy is astonishing. The citizens of N.J. deserve better than this. Perhaps someone should inform Governor Corzine about Pres. Obama's policy concerning volunteer service. Time for a housecleaning @ DMAVA!
It certainly encouraging to see how Governor Christie has put Homeland Security back on the front burner.

Corzine should really take advantage of this great group of former and current service volunteers. GLO.
