She is travelling around Europe at the moment. She was named last Tuesday and set sail that same evening.

Carnival has reused the Caronia name, even used Mauretania w/out a "2"nd designation either. Not to worry though, I am sure Carnival will pay hommage to both Queen Elizabeths from Cunard's past.

The bad news is in all this is the Elizabeth will be a clone of the Victoria, no distinction.

I heard Cunard is going to build another Queen Elizabeth, but it won't be the Queen Elizabeth 3. They're calling it simply "Queen Elizabeth". Its as if they're assuming nobody remembers the QE1. :(

You have your pick of so mnay clones, Princess, Holland America, Carnival, Cunard, Costa, P&O...your choices are unlimited.

NCL and Royal Caribbean look like boutique lines when compared to the over used floorplans, furniture, carpet, fabrics, colors and endless drivel of the Carnival PR releases from all their on how inique they are. Carnival has made cruising like the old Model T, you can have any color you want as long as it is black.
