I just never understood why award shows are so important to actors and fans to begin with. Validation by trophy? Is it not enough to make a great deal of money at your craft, your talent appreciated by a ton people and succeed where so many have failed? It takes a golden paper weight to feel accomplished? To me, that show's a level of insecurity and lack of confidence. Which is intriguing to me, in a profession that demands confidence in order to succeed. No award defines any artist, period.

Landau is great in NORTH BY NORTHWEST, love this guy. Bela Lugosi is great in an underrated role in THE WOLFMAN.
