The back up pad has a 5/8" thick piece of tapered foam on it and a 1/4" shank to fit in a standard drill. You can find them online at the Abrasive Resource web store as an accessory item with the 2" and 3" hook and loop sanding discs.

where did you get the pad so that it will contour to the shape of the bowl??? does it fit in a regular drill??
