I think that Black Cats is the coolest rockabilly band ever. This concert took place in 1983, Tokyo, Japan. At that time, the all of Black Cats' members were the boutique employees of Cream Soda / Garage Paradise; the legendary successful neo 50's fashion & accessory company in the 80's of Japan.
The all of their outfits here are designed and produced by the brand, Cream Soda. Although the all of the players are high school drop-outs, their salary was almost double of that of collage graduates of the days. They also lived in the specially designed $10 Million R&R style design condo bldg. which also build by the company for its employees at the coolest and most expensive part of Tokyo. The reason why they formed their band at first was that they had so much money to spend so they bought these cool instruments so started the band.
These phenomenal accomplishments are the work of Mr. Masayuki Yamazaki; the founder of the company who created everything. He has had nothing like ordinary business meeting etc. to make the business big. Yamazaki just materialized what he believed cool but not there. He decided everything by himself in the penthouse at the top of Pink Dragon building that he designed and built in the hot spot of Harajuku in Tokyo. These days, he likely spend his time in writing romantic poetry for himself in the penthouse.
The sound and the appearance of this concert is amazing from the beginning to the end. I hope that you could enjoy my favorite 'Rockabilly Boogie', 'Baby, Let's Play House' and 'Tomb Attack'; the last three songs of the show.
