  • Very cool! It's a OMG moment for me! This is one of my favorite's from Dan,even though he didn't write it. One of his musical influences,The Hollies penned the song. Dan put his magical touch to the song and made it own. The beginning is the sound of Tuscon,Arizona Gazette. Joe Vitale playing the flute? Mike Hanna, monster on the piano.Larry Burton on the guitar. They were smokin'on this song. Please remember Larry Burton, he passed away a few months ago. Great post and thanks!

  • Amazing, pre10der! Thank you again!

  • This has been one of my absolute favorite songs of anyone's since Dan first released it. For me it's a rarity to hear someone interpret someone else's work (in this case the Hollies) and think "they nailed this one and I like it far better than the original". But Dan and Tim did it in spades on this song. For me, it's a perfectly crafted song. Thanks so much to pre10der76 for posting this video.

  • Barry (Byrd) Burton on guitar. RIP

  • Yes, that is Joe Vitale on Flute and Congas.

  • A good version for a Hollies' theme!

  • @asquare176 I agree with all your words. Fantastic to see Fogelberg doing this live!! It's, in fact, my favorite, though originally, a Hollie song. Exquisite!! Brings back memories of those good old days when there was high quality music made & performed by really talented musicians. Yes, the mainstream now is diposable music..! The mainstream was to create, innovate, invent, not to follow a shallow disposable pop culture.

  • Hotel California

  • This is one fav from Dan.His arrangement of this song is a musical masterpiece! One of the coolest ever! I only had the chance to see him once at The Forum in Harrisburg,PA. (Remember "Face The Fire"?)I miss him greatly.

Three years ago today, the world lost a cherished voice...But Dan left behind a "Living Legacy" that will continue throughout the days of my own life, to the end of days.

  • Dan and his bands were such a huge gift in my youth! The creativity is just awe inspiring and eternal. There is no forgetting him.

  • Truly enjoy this video. One of my fav's.Anyone know where I can find TAB on this song.I try to copy off video but I'm just not that good.

  • Geeeeez. What they did with that tune!

It's funny how one forgets songs that were so important at one time.
