(www.abndigital.com) As we all well know, the entire financial landscape in Nigeria has
changed significantly following interventions by the CBN. And at this
stage, we have market players - anticipating the kick off to the long
awaited banking conference themed 'Banking reforms in Nigeria: what next
after CBN's intervention?" That of course, being the all important
question: What next? Well, the conference is scheduled for today - and
Ahead of that, we're talking now to the CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido
Sanusi.
Governor, welcome to the show. Of course, one of the stumbling blocks to
have hit progress in terms of banking sector reforms in Nigeria - has
been the political situation in the country... we've seen the VP assume
the role of acting president now - but even that is mired in controversy
- is there enough political will to carry on with the necessary painful
reforms, at the moment?
Thank God sanusi is from Nigeria!!!!God please give us more sanusi lamidos so that our dear country can prosper!!!!!!!!

Extremely impressed with the Governor's foresight RE: Ways forward. We really only need 10 of his calibre b4 we can start noticing some serious changes in the economy. Another one is the Minister for Petroleum, I think we've started waking up from our slumber, still some way to go but a refreshing start.
