Obama criticized for 'sideline approach' to Iran

President Obama expressed deep concerns about the legitimacy of Iran's presidential election, but is being criticized for not taking a harder approach to the issue. The President unveiled his long-anticipated plan to restructure how banks are regulated, in hopes of avoiding another financial collapse. Obama made his case for universal health care coverage to the American Medical Association on Monday where he outlined a series of steps to lower current costs and raise taxes to pay for an overhaul of the system. Also, First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed 5th grader back to the White House to pick lettuce and peas from the South Lawn garden.

If Obama does that though it would be counterproductive. It would be all over the Iranian state media that Obama is supporting the protesters and to Iranians would only support statements made by Ahmedinajad that these protesters are puppets of America.

Obama is taking an intelligent approach. He is not as simple as some type of cattle who can be herded by timed emotional issues. His and our national response is not weak or passive either as evidenced by the congress today meeting to discuss as a nation that we support all citizens of the world's right to have their voices heard.

Anyone who expects Obama to produce a rhetoric ridden response is not demonstrating the maturity necessary to take them seriously in the world of politics.
