@orbit789321 from the filter the oil goes into the splash pan, if theres nothing in the pan for 10 seconds thats your cylinder making a knocking noise for about those 10 seconds until the oil is splashed onto the cylinders
@laurajdahl some fluid will come out just because there will be some left in the lines, but not a lot. You should be able to just pull them off and replace them.
This may be a stupid question.. But, I'm gonna ask it.. I need to replace both tranny cooler lines cause one is cracking and I'm afraid it will start leaking... Just wondering if I can do it without draining the tranny fluid? Probably not, Huh? If You have a special trick to remove/replace the hoses please let me know. Thanks!
@sinminman & @orbit789321 it helps your engine out, so it doesn't have to pull the oil through the dry filter on startup, it's like putting a straw in an empty glass, and trying to drink from it for like 10seconds, then adding water after you've already started drinking...pointless right? that's why you prefill it.
