This is a chemically powered car that can fit inside a shoe-box when dissembled. It was built for a 3rd year Chemical Engineering subject at the University of Sydney. It features a salvaged propellor and combustion motor from a model plane, which runs on a mix of methanol, castor oil and nitromethane. The glow plug inside the motor is powered by a home-made battery (beneath), which is made up of 12 sets of zinc and copper electrodes, immersed in hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide.
Sarcasim? Come on, these guys are learning, experimenting and having fun, that's to be applauded not criticized. It's better than wearing a stupid colored bandanna and fighting in the streets isn't it?

This has been the best video I have ever seen on YouTube. I'm inspired by the flair and imagination the Director of Photography has shown, and the clarity is supurb. When can we expect the next installment, I'm hanging with bated breath!
