The Dog Catchers live @ Breakwaters in Burlington,Vermont 7/4/08 playin' the Blues.
Lead guitarist Bob Weisburgh whips out his Hagstrom Viking for a tribute to the great Buddy Guy. The mid 80's was a time when Blues was just starting to make a comeback ,thanks in large part to Stevie Ray Vaughan, and tiny clubs is where you would typically see someone like Buddy Guy before he would be headlining Festivals throughout the 90's, and presently. Bob saw Buddy for the first time on his Birthday in December 1985 at Jonathan Swifts in Harvard Square, and was blown away by Buddy's showmanship, dynamics, and musical prowess on the six string. Buddy was no stranger to a semi hollow body guitar, as he used to endorse Guild Guitars, and really tore it up when he plugged it in that night (when he wasn't tearing up a Stratocaster or ESP).Buddy Guy has influenced countless guitarists like Jeff Beck,Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan with his exteme string bending and wildman approach to solos.
Phil Peery rips out the Rythym Guitar on his well worn Epiphone Casino, while Steve Peery anchors the band on his Fender P-Bass,and Gene Bouffard mans the drums on his Evans kit.
