Um, just a wild stab in the dark here but it is possible to love more than one version of a song. Each cast took the song and made it their own. Danny/Sandy and Sam/Mercedes did awesome and i loved it, honestly whether you love the movie cast, glee or spring awakening better, they all did a good job with the song. And it would make sense for Mercedes to be Sandy, i think she did an awesome job, they aren't gonna do the play, it was just one song, Rachel and Kurt can't sing every Broadway song.
