  • @doctordave That, I agree with. It would be nice if they used the original name, but I'm also sure every fan of electro swing knows that it's all modernized versions of the classics.

  • @musicmanvin1 Ok granted... if you're calling yourself a DJ and not a "band", then that makes me less angry. But I still think "sampling" crosses line when you are just playing a drumbeat over 2 whole minutes of some other song. You want to cover "Oriental Swing"? Call it "Oriental Swing (Remix)"... problem solved.

  • @doctordave dude... he's a Dj.. that's what Dj's do, they play music that's already been created and sometimes they remix the already created music to add some flavor to it. Which is what's happening here. I just think that it's really cool that instead of playing everything off his ipod which he very well can, he got a band instead.

  • @doctordave If you would notice, they never said it was an original song they wrote. It's just new to them.

  • @cagepondroad I'm not saying it's not "fun"... I'm just saying it's the musical equivalent of taking 3 pages of text from Wikipedia, pasting it into MS Word, putting quotation marks around it, adding a title to the top of the page, changing the font, and saying "Ok, here is the term paper I wrote." If this passes as "songwriting", no wonder my college students don't understand what plagiarism is.

  • @doctordave Listen to mainstream music and that will answer your question. If you need help with that the answer is yes. This genre is classy and fun.

  • @AndyKofHB Only because he makes it look easy. I'm the same way, but with a guitar.

  • @doctordave this is incredible

  • that awkward moment when your just slappin the bass and the lead singer air humps you 1:15

  • How can they call this a new song with a new name when all they did was take some swing tune from the 20s and speed it up a few bpm? Are we REALLY this out of original ideas?
