This is my first project bike i've done. I made alot of parts such as the jockey shift, license plate/tail light bracket, battery box, back half of frame and seat mounts, all the brackets for the ignition and push button starter, and im sure there's things im forgetting. I started early fall of 08 and just finished march of 09. Its not perfect but i didn't want it to be, its what i wanted and i learned alot. Let me know what you think

  • sleeck bike man nice job! where did you get the seat??

  • @EpiclyReckless Thanks! It's just an ultima seat I got off ebay for like 40 bucks.

  • i got a question...how much rejetting did you have to do since it looks like you are running open headers?

  • @zx12ryder I didnt have to rejet it...its got 4" baffles in it, that seemed to make it run great.

  • I just got on ebay and found a front and rear chain drive sprocket for the kz. When they arrived it was just a matter of switching out the belt drive sprockets with the chain drive, and putting a new chain on. Pretty simple. Good luck and thanks for the nice comments.

  • Yeah it was a belt drive to start with. For the jockey shift i took the original shifter and cut off part of it then took the piece of tubing and put the modified shifter into it, hammered it down and plug welded it. Then when i put it on i just put it where it was comfortable.
