@kylegall100 Tapers are technically only bad if you haven't waited the proper amount of time. 1-2mm size increases are easy, but you have to understand your ears. If you have enough pull room, the only thing you're really using a taper for is that last TINY bit of a stretch. If it's like a layer of tape or two away, you can use a taper without harm. Patience is the best tool used in stretching your ears.
