On September 23, 2009, the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance sponsored the Inaugural Interdisciplinary Clinical Case Competition. The fourth and final round of the case competition was held before a crowd of over 200 at Meharry Medical College. Vanderbilt School of Medicine faculty member Terrence S. Dermody moderated the event while a jury of faculty from all disciplines included in the competition watched from front row seats.
While the event was comprised primarily of Meharry (Medicine, Dentistry, and Public Health) and Vanderbilt programs (Medicine, Law, Dietetic Internship, Nursing), two programs (Pharmacy and Master of Social Work) were from the University of Tennessee. In addition, the planning team partnered with the Tennessee Department of Childrens Services, Metro Health Department, and Vanderbilts Center of Excellence for Children in Custody.
This is awesome. We don't hear about these types of interactions. How positive!
