Way to go, much better than watching the AQHA horses that gimp along looking like they are lame and can't move!! Western pleasure is no longer pleasurable on the AQHA circuit, the horses still look sick and are soooo slow it's retarded. If those people do want to move on a horse they should sit on a damn fence post lol!! Nice to see a real horse that actually looks happy and is moving right!!

And yes, the picture quality is pretty bad and I don't know if this is a "true" representation of Western Pleasure, but it's not like you're charging us money to look at it, so go ahead and post what you want and have fun with it.

I'd say if the look you're going for complies with the western pleasure rules for your specific breed association or whoever is putting on the show, then it's western pleasure. But since you like Quarter Horses (and many other associations like APHA and ApHC are based off of AQHA's rule book), AQHA 465B. a) "(...)He should carry his head and neck in a relaxed,

natural position, with his poll level with or slightly above the level of the

withers (...)" -not ears below withers.

YES, you can at open shows, 4-H shows. Plenty of people show Thoroughbreds Western Pleasure. You may have a local TB owner/exhibitor group that puts on shows. I know kids in 4-H with TBs who show Western and I've been to local TB club open shows. I've seen TBs at other open shows locally. Heck, half the Paints and Quarter Horses are half or part Thoroughbred though you can't take a TB to an AQHA breed show there are plenty of shows you can.

@westernpleasuresarah i know this comment was posted a long time ago but those are real western pleasure horses in the arab pictures too arabs standards are different then stock breeds and its more natural for arabs to carry themselves that way and personally i would rather watch arab western over stock horse type western because they dont look like broken down old cow ponies limping home. So just because its not what your used to seeing doesn't mean its wrong to that breed standard.
