@spencer0617 so what "literature" would you have her sing? Have you tried Charles Dickens lately or Shakespeare perhaps? What do you know about her voice teacher? Jackie is not trying to copy any of the greats she is singing beautiful songs her way and with her ability. Maria Callas was great, but she was "pushed" from a very early age into singing you would agree. Would you rather Jackie had that kind of lifestyle and upbringing? I don't think so.

Jackie is not trying to study opera......other people have put that on her. she sings classical music in a way that most of us enjoy it. most of us "otherwise unopera" people, don't know about opera things. Jackie is not an opera singer, and I love her! and I love the opera singers for what they do!

@spencer0617 Jackie is being cared for by one of the top otolaryngologists in the country, and other qualified professionals, who are ensuring that she is not putting her vocal cords at risk. Recently, her vocal cord assessment indicated that they were in "pristine" condition. If you have real concerns, talk to Jackie's management team.

@spencer0617 Show me evidence of your claim that it is dangerous. I have had this same discussion with numerous "voice experts" over the past year and a half, and NOT ONE of them has been able to provide me with a shred of scientific evidence to back up their claim.

@spencer0617 Charlotte Church was a heavy smoker, which is a huge risk factor for damage to the vocal cords. Once again, Jackie sings below maximal stress levels and gets adequate rest periods between session, so it NOT at risk for vocal cord damage.

@spencer0617 Actually, that does NOT make you qualified to assess risk of vocal cord damage. You have very limited knowledge of physiology of tissue damage and risk for injury. Stick to singing and leave the rest to the experts.
