The points are a bit ambiguous. The first student apparently expects the "A" grade because the tutor actually does the work -- actually writes the paper. That does not happen. But oftentimes students do expect a high grade simply because they work with a tutor and think the collaboration should always end with an excellent paper. Not so, of course. The second myth is right on: Go early, becomes sometimes WC's do experience major overload!
I've tutored in a campus writing center for 3 years, and...wow. This is great! Can we start requiring departments to play this at their faculty meetings?
