You should be ashamed of yourself for that video!
We don't know the benefits of high HDL? yes we do.......Of the 100Ks of people coming to hospital for heart-failure, JUST 1% of these patients have high HDL.
If your HDL level is 30 or LOWER, YOU WILL HAVE A HEART-ATTACK, and it doesn't matter if you are a freak of nature with LDL levels lower than 100. So your total cholesterol can be 130 or LESS, and you are in DANGER IF YOUR HDL IS LESS THAN 28!!!

Hah, thats funny, I just got done reading the Mayo Clinics take on Niacin, and they say it is effective. I think I'll trust the Mayo clinic over this self serving Doctor.
