What if we are not in a position to make sacrifices? I'm sure that this might sound like self justification to someone but I'm just a student, I have no job and I've got nothing to sacrifice for others. :,(
I wish I could find a place to help people but, well, that's a whole different story. I wish God helps me and uses me in this world, for whatever purpose He wants to.

@ejack2000: clearly you know something about love... Putting the word "things" before people. Love is sacrificial, unless you're blissfully ignorant or careless, you will need to make sacrifices to show your love to anyone. The word of God is so vainly taken for granted that even those who witness His gospel dare say things such as "no divine third-parties". Yet you watched the video. God has reached out to you and to us all, I pray that you will repent and follow Him.

Piper's effort to muddle thoughts about tje human capacity to love is just perverse. We 'love' that which we hold dear: things & people we care about and cherish to the extent we make them a part of us. Simple. This may require courage, but always demands WORK and is incomparably rewarding. It involves no divine third-parties, nor need it entail suffering. It inspires trust & brings great happiness. Its nature's not sacrificial nor has it some vicarious object - it's an act in its own right.

Amen... God's truth being spoken right here my brothers and sisters... To Love God is to Love others, no exceptions, no back door exits, no excuses... We are to die to ourselves and love others. Make perfect sense why divorce is no option when you consider God's command to love..
