Please answer my survey questions, and then I will go into detail as to why my surgeon prefers Open to Laparoscopic. It would be very helpful if you could either forward these questions and or this video to all of your WLS subs, or send out a video asking them to check out the survey. The more people that respond to the survey the better results I will get.

1) What type of surgery did you have, i.e. Gastric, Lap band, Sleeve, Switch, etc.
2) Did you have it done Open or Laparoscopically?
3) What were your food intake requirements? Liquids, Puree, Soft and for how long?
4) If you did get sick or nauseas which stage was it on, and for how long?
5) Once you changed to solid foods, how long before you could tolerate without any problems, if you did have any problems.
6) How long was your hospital stay?
7) Did you have any complications that required a longer stay?
8) Did you have any complications since leaving the hospital the required you to return to your surgeons office for a visit?
9) How long ago was your surgery?

I appreciate you all taking the time to answer these questions. I would really like everyone to reply before Sunday, July 20th, 12 noon EST.
I will post the results within 1 week.
Thanks again,
Barbara

Open isn't as bad as you think. The recovery is a bit longer than lap is, but it is well worth it! 6 more pounds, you go girl!

  • YAY on the good bloodwork and super hooray on 53 lbs gone in 3 months!! Im FINALLY getting around to watching and replying to this video!

  • Wow! Great weight loss! Congrats on good blood :) I am too early in the game to reply to all of the q's. I had RNY laproscopically 2 weeks ago. 3 days in hospital as required, everything went well. I had 2 weeks liquid diet pre & post op & am now in 2 wks of soft foods. My food taste totally changed postop. Cant do eggs, ham, beef, seafood, yogurt, noodles, or anything sweet, even crystal light. Hopefully this will get better :) Sorry, could not do video by deadline.

  • Thanks for subscribing to me! And congratulations, 53 pounds is absolutely wonderful, You are on your way girl!
