The Beach Boys are great, but please don't compare them to The Beatles. Both totally different bands, and shouldn't be compared at all

I love The Beatles, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better songwriter than Brian Wilson.

You need to read up on the Beatles / Beach Boys rivalry. Both of them got better because of the other. Pet Sounds sent the Beatles into a frenzy in order to keep up. The Beatles kicked their asses in record sales, but don't sell the Beach Boys short.

Maybe you can compare them by saying "the bass lines on Sgt Pepper were far superior to that on Pet Sounds". But comparing the two albums as a whole, shouldn't be done. Both albums are GENIUS. Why can't we just leave it as that?

Omg those teen girls can be crazy! Lol but I have to admit if I was there, I'd be screaming my lungs out too

Aw the Beach Boys look so awkward and nerdy. So cute ^_^

you mean to Surfer girl? of course not.......but to the songs on the Pet Sounds album which is what I said, Sgt. Peppers is comparable......those were some complex tunes written by Brian Wilson........even the top 40 tune Good Vibrations, which is from that album, has some brilliant original musicality to it.

You can compare Sgt. Peppers to this in terms of quality and originality?

There will always be a new Backstreet Boys or the Beatles but there will never be another Beach Boyz
