  • Contd: We had 2 guys,Me and the double backer operator. They ripped the c-flute apart countless times, even once to replace the side frames because you had a hard time getting rid of the pressure roll cutting. Even that didnt work tho. There was always talk of them getting a Mitsubishi Positive pressure single facer but they never did.I always thought Koppers made a nice machine too. Ran one of those to.That split bar pressure roll was a nice little feature i thought. Got out of the biz in 93.

  • Worked for Inland Container for years running a 98 inch Langston fingerless c and fingered b flute corrugator. I notice alot of these machines have no splicers and one even had no paper loading trolleys in the floor. Langstons plant used to be about an hour from here. All gone now tho as is the plant i worked at in Edison. They even tore the corrugator out of the building and shipped it someplace else along with all the finishing machinery. I notice 3 or 4 guys working on the wet end.
