Did he seriously expect Lois to wait while he called the chief? Hasn't he learned that Lois always finds a way to get in trouble, usually because she ran off?

Wow, I remember watching this as a kid. They aired it on Catroonnetwork way back... Hell, I think this was my first actual Cartoon!
