Leominster State Forest in Massachusetts was devastated by tree damage during a recent ice storm. This video highlights that there is some work going on, but there is allot to do.

  • I rode there last weekend (March 20ish) and will ride again today. Not so bad, but not perfect.

  • The area that I found to be the worst so far is the wolf's den. I have not been onto the backside of the forest (fenton area).

You can ride but should except that you will need to walk a bit and clear away the small stuff as you go. The NEMBA gang was kicked out by DCR recently for cutting. I am not sure if this has been resolved, but it is concerning if they are discouraging riders and hikers from cleanup.

  • I live 5 mins from LSF and the ice storm hit us pretty hard. I tried riding some other trails but it was just too difficult. I was hoping LSF would be cleaned up quicker due to the amount of people who ride there.

Plan on heading up there this weekend to see if anything is rideable or if not, see how bad they still are.
