Also, those cost stated would be at production numbers in the millions of units manufactured, the cost increases exponentially when the total amount produced starts to drop

Expensive in the sense that'll nmot be something you just run out and buy like you would a loaf of bread. I know this because of the circuitry it contains, and I have a strong background in electronics. I would put it's manufacturing cost at around 40 to 70 dollars retailing at 120 to 170. all of this a rough guess of course
