I loved the Waltones, I was in Stockport for their gig the night we found out that Mark Collins had left and joined the Charlatans, gig cancelled........gutted...then double gutted!!!!!

Saw the Waltones in about '89 with my brother Steve at Sherborne butterfly farm,glorious gig,them,beat hotel (i think) and mainly the Chesterfields,greatest group ever since the next greatest group ever,drunk some beers,partied like it was '99 and saw not one single butterfly....

The waltones were one of the best indie bands to come out of late 80s manc and I was a big fan - saw them about 10 times at the boardwalk and various other skanky venues around the city. A reunion would be great! They do have a myspace page - but you probably already know that!
