In Loving Memory of my budgie, Sweet Pea

My Darling Sweet Pea passed away from cancer July 31, 2008. He was a charming and delightful little friend, full of life and fun. He always appreciated and played with his toys, often all by himself for hours at a time. He was highly intelligent and affectionate - in short, a little Star. Although I was never able to video him talking, I did (audio)record some of his favorite phrases, and used them in this movie. He speaks for himself and for me...

Oh - I'm so sorry - I know exactly how you feel - they are so small, yet they fill your whole heart; and then - they're gone. Thank you for your compassion - I know that you were as important to PEPIZ as he was to you, and that your love filled his heart, as well. This kind of love goes beyond death into eternity - The Good Lord made us all, and that's my only comfort.

Um did your parakeet have bumps all over its face? I am afraid that my parakeet has cancer because it has several bumps on its face. Also, the bottom half of its beak cracked and one of its talons fell off and a soft fleshy "nail" has taken its place.

How old was she? Cancer in a bird seems very odd! I want my Budgie to live very long...so far he is only a couple years old and very energetic. I am a bit paranoid about giving him store brought bird seed however...thinking of putting him on an all organic diet like myself...might add years to his life...that bird food is so processed and mass produced.....it can't be good for them!! Is there anywhere I can get some organic bird food that you know of??
