Ah Robotech II. Still as lame as I remember. How anyone could think this was ever superior to Macross proper is beyond me.

What the hell are YOU talking about? Jack is exactly like Rick when he was younger. Jack is a very good pilot, as later scenes of The Sentinels video make quite clear. And if you think Rick always followed orders, I think Lisa Hayes would beg to differ.

This doesn't make sense as a sober adult. What the hell are Rick and Max talking about? The simulator showed that Jack not only doesn't follow orders but he's also stupid. He's nothing like Rick when he was younger. Rick was a skilled amateur pilot. They're saying it's okay that he's stupid. It's like they're hoping to use him as an expendable pawn and that's why he's training with friendly forces, the new battlepods, over an ocean with the admiral. Jack is Rick's little bitch.

@wolf3037 I did watch both matter of fact all 3, and the new macross voices are ok, but they pale in comparrioson to the Likes of Tony Oliver and Cam Clarke. Japanese voices=bland. So the diolouge is changed a bit in Robotech from Macross, doesnt matter. Its all about the Delivery of the words which the Robotech cast basically runs away with the gold. Not to meniton other than a majority of the Minmei songs The Robotech BGM>Macross BGM.

@InternationalBoy I'm not going to argue over a 1yr old post. If you really watched both dubs you wouldn't be saying that. Plus Robotech is nothing but changed dialogue that goes off course from the original. The new ADV stays very close to the original dialogue. But the Original Japanese will always be superior to both.
