I PERSONALY HAVE PLAYED BASKETBALL, SOCCER,VOLLEYBALL, AND SOFTBALL; HONESTLY NO SPORT ON EARTH COMPARES TO EQUESTRIAN SPORTS. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. AND THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NEVER DONE IT HAVE NO WAY OF POSSIBLY UNDERSTANDING THAT. SO IM SORRY IF THE TITLE OFFENDS YOU, IM NOT CHANGING IT.

You lift weights, I lift water buckets.You run 1 mile, I ride 10. You have 4 quarters, 2 halves, to show your competitors what you've got. We've got 2 minutes.When you fall down you fall a couple inches. We fall 5 or more feet.

Your sport is one season. Ours is all year long.

@1995racer Uh....seriously? Have you seen how ripped jockeys are? Have you seen how fit they are? And don't argue that they only do it for two minutes, because for those 2 min they're holding back 1000 or more pounds and they do it for up to several hours every day, on different horses. Not ragging on motocross. My friend races motocross. It's tough. Just saying, no tougher than jockeying. Also, the experience is similar. Going fast and hard. Just as much fun.

Lol horse riding.. Try motocross.. Horse racing is like motocross.. You actually have to be fit.. Except you have to race for 30+ minutes plus two laps going as hard as you can.. So technically motocross is way more fun, way more risky, and over all a better sport :) way more demanding that horse racing... Hahah

@Ryry2kid I can't help but say something about this. You have your so called "explanation" for jumping, I can't say I agree, but its your opinion. I have to say if you try riding I think your opinion would change. But how do you explain Dressage? If we do "nothing" how do our horses jump sideways? How do you explain Passage? Pirouettes? And even western riding? Reigning? There is a lot more than Jumping and Racing. Please explain how its easy?

 ( continued ) we risk our lives every time we get on that horse and put all of our trust in it . i don't think a football or basket ball player has to worry about DYING when they step out onto the court or field. my point is horseback riding IS a sport and IS (by far) harder than soccer and most sports out there

alright im not gonna lie when my friend told me about horseback riding i thought it was soo easy and all u do is just sit on a horse . i have played select soccer for 7 years and one day i decided iv had enough. my heart lead me to horseback riding . i regret EVERYTHING i said about it . we not only control a wild animal we have to look good while doing it like my trainer said and equestrian08 we don't sit on the horse we have to ride it .theres a big difference.

@Ryry2kid Yea, but I bet you know of MANY famous horses. Secretariat, Zenyatta, etc. And besides, riding on a 14 year old Shetland pony doesn't count as riding a barrel-racing, buckin' bronco. Actually take into consideration what we do. Without horses, life just would well....SUCK. You gotta understand it's more than being led around on a tiny little pony And, with one mis-step these creatures can kill you...We risk our lives for this man, no need to be bringin' us down.
