@webhutspainWhy should an innocent person suffer for other peoples sin ?. Why must Jesus who is sinless suffer for other people's sins ? If you're saying God chose jesus to die on the cross to save humanity . You're saying that God is unjust i disagree totally . God created us in the first place, He should know that we cannot be perfect . So if, we repent and stop what we did before and ask God for forgiveness and believe that there is One God, and do not form associates with Him. We're saved .

I thought God is suppose to be forgiving ? Can't he forgive our sins ?

And if Jesus did die on the cross to save humanity , then what is the purpose of this life ?

And there is still no justice.

God told Moses that to cover the sins of His people they must sacrifice unblemished lambs every year.

You see the Law of Moses requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

However, God wanted a permanent solution and so needed a perfect lamb that would forgive ALL sins for ALL mankind. He promised Abraham HE would provide a lamb. 2000 years later Jesus came as the Lamb of God & was sacrificed.

@7ar15 Good Point. Let me explain. God took out his wrath Jesus. Jesus drank every last drop of God's wrath and therefore justice was done.

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

2 Cor 5:21

You see you need to be perfect to go to heaven. You ask me if God would forgive a rapist? He forgave the thief on the cross and he forgave a mass murderer Paul! Yes, if you repent and beleive in the Gospel, ALL your sins are forgiven.
