Actually, not a "true story" as told in the song...her little dog, Maxie, did NOT eat her or attempt to eat her..the little dog nipped at her legs and left puncture marks, from trying to awaken her...the poor little thing was trying to get her mistress to get up..she eventually barked and barked when she couldn't wake her, and the neighbors summoned the bellboy to bust in to check on her. Voila, she was dead (alcoholism and malnutrition did her in...) The dog did not eat her.

@AnalogueAudio1985 It's a simple rock song. It's not like Zappa in complexity of arrangement or Beach Boys in harmony arrangement. It's just a good rock song done minimally.
