Had Batgirl been portrayed as the karate-bashing crimefighter she was in the comic books (at this same time) the scripts might have been better. She was watered down

as a damsel in distress---that isn't BATGIRL!

@wdm1219 - I agree. It was the addition of Batgirl that contributed to the show's premature decline. He salary helped lower the budget and those cheap sets were a result. Add on top of that there weren't many more 2-part cliffhangers with traps and there you have it--the end of a great series.

@ScottishgirlAnnlorie lol...i was merely repeating catwoman's delicious words. she's the one who inquired insinuatingly about batman and his...youthful companion. the word companion is just pregnant with possibilities the way catwoman says it. i'd love to have a father like bruce wayne--handsome, athletic, charming, has a dual sexuality, i mean identity...lol. who wouldn't want to have a gorgeous man adopt him and protect and tenderly tutor him with just a dash of excitement and adventure?
