how much would it cost for a cheap uav that is expendable

You don't want to make expendable UAV. It is still expensive, unless you have many many Euros.

Maybe cheaper versions are like 4000 EUR if you build it yourself. I saw commercial UAV up to 30.000 EUR.

well, do your homework and research. Park fly FPV is cheap. 1-2 k.

Long range PRO versions with autopilot, telemetry - very different.

Only autopilot can be 5 k. Whole PRO systems are more than 25 k.

My project is home project. I dont sell these airplanes. I don't care if you don't believe it.

Could you please give me a link for the headset and gps equipment? I would appreciate it as I am building a mibo a-10 and this would be the crown jewel. I would love to fly it to my buddy's house 20 miles away.

No long range flights are made by 3G tehnology. On forums or youtube you will find that other tehnologies are much better.

Use of 3G is limited -possible signal blackouts on hilly terrain and it is not free to use. It is bettter to use own transmitters and antennas.

You can use this in populated area, where cell signal is 100%. Like quadrocopters etc..

@FPVSLO Yes you can.. it is called an android phone with 3G service and a pic basic micro controller.. about 60 bucks and virtually unlimited range via your cell carrier.. You must think outside the box young grasshopper.

oh my god thats so bad ass that you can move the camera independantly!!!!

how much would it cost to build a small scale UAV? im planning on building my own for my senior project and would like to know the base stuff id need, it doesnt have to go over 3 miles away from me, so thats nto a big deal.
