Rocksmith Guitar Tech Demo Test Surf Hell Xbox 360 116,462

Released today . . . played this a few times and this was the best score I got. If it seems the audio is a bit out of sync in spots it is because I was testing out the window. However, there is also small but very noticeable delay between when you play and when you hear it. Not quite sure how to deal with it at this point but this definitely could be a problem with harder songs. It may take a while but I find the visual layout of this game to be more much more confusing than RB3. Still, it seems the game is somewhat working, which is much more than I expected!

I can see I played a D natural 2/3 times where there should have been a C natural on the low E . . . not sure where the other misses were?

This looks very confusing..... What would you say about this game in terms or playability and in comparison to RB3?

I didn't have much luck with the Squier on RB3, but this game is nowhere near as responsive as the Mustang. That said, it does somewhat work with any guitar which is nice. Don't know anything about the tech behind this, but it could be related to apps you see for the iphone that allow you to use it as an "amp". Definitely agree that the user interface is way more confusing than RB. It's nice that they tried to give the notes a sense of space on the fretboard instead of a number.

(Continued) However, I also find the layout to be very confusing, in particular the use of arbitrary colors for different strings. It is also weird to have only barlines for downbeats. From what I've seen I would definitely recommend RB3 over this, but I plan to try it out for a week or two and see what sticks.

@WegmanLive actually no cause you can only use the given one.who wants to buy another guitar just for a game if u already have one?btw the mustang was made for RB3.it has a bunch of electronics in the neck to work properly.so i think this is the first one to do it right.i have it and it seems sooo responsive.

How can you compare rockbands only 5 buttons to a full giutar Rocksmith.

The difference is no real skill rockbands to how to play a real guitar.

As a person who jams a bit with guitar and uses tab. playing along to this video is easy once you get to know how the song is played notes and chords. If you want to learn a skill rocksmith and can also play outside of rocksmith with tabs and youtube videos
