Skull X-Ray Scanner

A short, test animation of a human skull being scanned through an x-ray scanner.

I've created an imitation X-Ray scanner effect which could be used as part of a digital screen display insert for a larger visual effects shot. I first modeled a skull based loosely on my own head shape and then created an X-Ray shader. I'm using Mental Ray's Ambient Occlusion node for the actual scanner effect itself. The Ambient Occlusion texture node is commonly used as a quick way to achieve the look of Global Illumination but without as much calculation. When the Ambient Occlusion node is conneced to a shading network, the camera will shoot rays into the scene and test the region within a hemispherical area. If there is geometry within a certain distance of the surface with the occlusion texture applied, or if that part of the surface is occluded (blocked from view) by geometry, then the texture will make that part of the surface appear darker. This simulates the way that, in the real world, when two objects are very close to each other, a certain amount of ambient light is blocked and you get darkness near the edges where the two objects are close. It's kind of like a type of ambient light shadow.

Hey man, im gonna shooting a music video for a metal band and i just have to create an x ray skull like this to track it with the sinner's head when he scream, can tell me how can i creat it ?? and if there is any tutoriel of it, thank you very much.
