http://www.survivalistboards.com/ Instead of using candles or kerosene lanterns, consider picking up some solar powered lights.

The lights I just bought are replacing some that my wife and I had bought several years ago.

  • SB,no offence but this is totally ineffcient . why not just buy quality rechargables and a good solarpanel/charger then use a quality LED lighting option . these garden lights are crap(bad batteries and bad panels) . those LED candles are better quality and give off better defused lighting . string of LED xmas lites will run forever off a car battery and give off more light then you'll ever need inside

  • Your battery is not a renewable source either. And just because you replace your battery with higher mAH one, you haven't shown that your cell has enough capacity to charge it up. It's like trying to put water in a bucket from the trickle of a hose - just because you use a larger bucket, doesn't mean you collect more water if the trickle on the hose stays the same. You bought a very cheap product, expect it to provide something equally as cheap.

  • I have one ting to say about this guy and video. Walmart

  • And this guy did not survive

  • We just got a kitten, so we may have to invest in some of these since oil lamps are definitely out of the question. I wouldn't have it lit for 5 minutes before it would get knocked over.

  • I have purchased several sloar rechargable units. Without exception, all batteries fail in a seriously short time. I wish solar was a better alternative.....

  • man make fire

  • Do they have cr123 solar light?

  • thanks for heads up

  • my plan is to catch fireflys in a jar and use them to light my house with. yep, that should do it.

  • she is realy nasty :)

  • You ever thought about taking up fishing or something ?
